To me it makes more sense to post community-like items on a blog or on facebook where there is already a social network in place (I've actually only in the last few weeks been posting items to facebook and it's really been great since everyone is on it). For links I want to archive and reference, del.icio.us is much better at providing that service (also, the interface is MUCH cleaner). If you want to spend time in a bookmarking network, go to ma.gnolia. If you want a streamlined and efficient place to store bookmarks to reference in the future, use del.icio.us. Ma.gnolia is like a group link blog whereas del.icio.us is an engine for saving references.
